It took me a while to choose which book I'd like to be inspired by lol. I don't do a lot of reading, and I already did Hunger Games nails.. and it seems like Harry Potter has been done many many times. So Instead, I thought of different children's books.
This book is close to my heart, my mom used to sing this to me as a child (yes.. sing). This book was created after a song by Dolly Parton - Coat of Many Colors. It was my favourite book when I was really little and my mom adored it... so I give you my nails made of rags :)
I used way too many colors to list here today.
My pictures are a little smaller than usual, this mani looked better far back than under the microscope.

And as usual, head over to the other ladies' blogs to see what books inspired their manis today...

Well done, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm sure your girls would love it, the book is really sweet.. Dolly Parton wrote the song about when she was a little girl and her mother makes for her out of rags and she's so proud of it but the kids at school make fun of her, but she still loves it in the end. (it was loosely based on the religious story of joseph and his coat of many colors.. but I didn't know that until I was much older)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this book and now you have my curiosity peeked (for my little girls :D ).
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading "Sarah's Key" about the tragic events during the Holocaust and your manicure touched on my residual feelings from that novel too for some reason :D
SPLENDID!
Thanks! :)
