Geek Nail Challenge: Comic Exclamations!

Hello my lovely readers. Today is the start of this awesome Geek Nail Challenge hosted by GirlonaShoestring.blogspot.com

There is a new theme each week and participants can choose to do as many manicures as they want throughout that week. I decided that I will do 1-2 manicures each week depending on how busy I may be. Below you can see what to expect each week :)

I have some really great ideas for this challenge, and cannot wait to create them!! :D

For this week (Comics & Animation) I decided to do comic exclamations! I have seen similar manicures around before and really liked them so I was happy to try it out myself.

I'm fairly happy with the result:

I used the Kleancolor Candy Cast mini neon collection for my base colors.

From thumb to pinky I used: aqua, pink, green, orange, and amethyst

(the green turned out quite yellow in the pictures though)

For the speech bubbles I used Finger Paints Paper Mache & Black Expressionism.

Here you can see my "zap" nail a little better :) 

My original plan was to recreate my favourite comics from when I was a kid; Garfield and/or Calvin & Hobbes, but I didn't really have the time this week. But I will keep those ideas in mind for another time.
