Home sweet Home

I'm so excited about today's post! :)  I'm home... in Wabush, Labrador...I have had this trip planned for months now. I haven't been back in about 3 years since my parents retired so I'm super excited!
I will be here for a week staying with friends... in the meanwhile I have a few guest posts lined up and a couple of filler posts.

In the meanwhile I've got my Labrador-themed nails for you today... I've been wanting to try this since I first saw the tutorial at Nails by Kayla Shevonne.

I followed Kayla's tutorial exactly as she did it. I also followed this DIY gel nail tutorial using Gelous (pictured below)... I wanted to see how long it will last.. I'll keep you posted.

I started with two coats of Gelous, then one coat of Barry M Blueberry Icecream. The gradient was created using Barry M Cobalt Blue, Cyan Blue and Blueberry Icecream, and then I added another coat of Gelous. The white is China Glaze White on White and the green is American Apparel Hunter. Topped it all off with one coat of Seche Vite! :)

Picture before top coat (just in case it caused any bleeding)
Rarely seen right hand - mad left hand skillz :P

It was difficult getting the blue out of my cuticles after doing the gradient... otherwise I'd be 100% happy about this manicure... but that's the perfectionist in me :P

Stay tuned... I've got some awesome guest posts lined up! :)
