I adore animal print, and to add a Valentine's flare was just too perfect! :)
I started with two coats of China Glaze Adventure Red-Y on all nails except the two accents... those were two coats of OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons. I used the CG red and a small dotting tool for the hearts and Orly Coffee Break for the spots (using the brush in the bottle). Then added the black details using CG Liquid Leather and a small nail art brush.
Some of you may have noticed I've been playing around with the curved watermark lately. I know a few bloggers have switched to this type of watermark to help protect their photos and avoid having their watermark cropped out. I decided to give it a go but clearly have not mastered it yet. For anyone wondering, Kayla Shevonne has recently done a tutorial on how to create this curved watermark using a free program called GIMP.
And this final photo shows my very elusive right hand... I always struggle to get my nails all the same length on my right hand because 1. that's my dominant hand, and 2. for some reason my nail beds on my index and middle nail are shorter than on my left hand and so to get them the same length as the rest they tend to have a larger "free edge" that is always at a greater risk of breaking. (unnecessary spiel)
I hope you enjoyed my favourite valentine's nail art to date. There will be a few more between now and the big day in February so stay tuned. :P
And.. for those of you interested in entering my giveaway and/or nail art contest, keep in mind there's only a little over a week left to get those entries in :)
