I don't usually go for textured manicures. I especially hate the "caviar nails" look.. and I thought I felt the same about flocking powder until recently. A few nail artists that I follow have been using this powder in very creative ways (a cute fuzzy penguin, pink hearts, and a fuzzy leopard manicure, are 3 inspiring looks that come to mind).
After seeing more creative ways of using this product, I just had to review it for myself. So that is the product that I bring to you today from Born Pretty Store.
The powder was super easy to use! I started with a base of Cult Nails Fetish and then stamped with BM-320 and konad special white polish. Then I used a nail art brush and some clear polish and painted over the stamp. While it was still wet I sprinkled a generous amount of powder over my nail with a set of tweezers, pressed it down with my finger, and then brushed the excess off. The tweezers and brush were also generously given to me by the representative at born pretty store.
I kept to one accent nail to begin with because I was hesitant about how difficult the powder might be to work with... but the application was super easy. I brushed the excess powder back into the jar easily with very little mess.
The texture was so cool I couldn't stop touching it. The manicure lasted a day (as all of my manicures usually do) and the powder was still all there. As many nail bloggers have mentioned before, it was really strange when it got wet, but dried quickly.
Overall I really enjoyed this product and I think I may have to pick up a few more colors soon and try out different stamped and freehand designs :)
