Review: Born Pretty Store Candy-Colored Studs

Today I have another product to show you from Born Pretty Store

The silver and gold studs were such a hit that they decided to add coloured studs to their collection… very smart idea if you ask me. They come in 12 different colours and 2 different sizes…

I started with a base of OPI Road House Blues and stamped a design from BM-404 with Konad special white polish. To add a little something extra I threw in a couple of studs on each nail. The colour I chose to review is #1F.

The studs retail for $2.99USD per bag… and you can choose between many different colours.

And don't forget you can get 10% off with my coupon code…

Review: Born Pretty Store Holographic Polish

I have a love for Holographic polish... especially on these beautiful sunny fall days we have been having lately.

As usual I have been busy with school work and such (physio school is hard!) but I've been fitting in a manicure or two here and there :)

Today I have a review for you all, Holographic polish from Born Pretty Store

The lighter pink is Color #6 and the darker pink is Color #3. Aren't they gorgeous?? The formula is excellent too! I started with one coat of color #6 and then did a gradient using a sponge with a mix of both shades, and then to darken up the tips I applied color #3 using a sponge by itself.

I specifically requested both Holo polishes when chatting with the BPS rep... I had a gradient in mind and I'm so glad I did, they are a perfect combo! Each photo was taken indoors with a flash (Unfortunately the next day was raining so I missed an opportunity to photograph the mani in the sun, but I assure you it's fantastic)

Each holographic polish retails for $4.59-$5.59 depending on the color you choose. I personally can't wait to get my hands on the blue ones!!

Don't forget, if you make any purchases at the Born Pretty Store shipping is free!

And you can get 10% off with my discount! :)

Life without Music would B♭

I'm so happy/proud to show you today's manicure. This is the second design I created in the new fan-created Bundle Monster collection.

I started with a coat of Formula X for Sephora Pyrotechnic and stamped with BM-411 :)

This design was created with my sister in mind. She always complained about the lack of good musical stamps out there (she's in music school and often wanted her nails done all musically for school events) so I decided to give her one. One of the full stamping plate sets (as a prize for having my designs chosen) was sent directly to her :)

Love at first Stamp

I have been a terrible blogger. Only 8 posts in September and this is only my third since the beginning of October. Completely unacceptable. School has been quite busy, but I've managed to get in a few manicures here and there... truth is I've just been a little lazy with uploading and watermarking photos for posts. But I'm settling in to my regular routine around here so I'm planning on being more vigilant from now on :) Don't give up on me yet...

For today I have a manicure that I put together sometime last week when I got my hands on the new 2013 fan-created stamping set from Bundle Monster...

I started with a base of Cult Nails Love at First Sight and then stamped with konad special white and BM-406.

The white didn't turn out as opaque as I would have liked, it's a new bottle of stamping polish, but aside from that the stamp is super cool! If anyone knows who designed this one please comment below :)

I was too late to enter the Bundle Monster Cirque du Freak halloween nail art contest, but head on over to their facebook album to cast your vote for your favourite design/nail artist, there are tons of great prizes for the winners! :)

Giveaway winner! And a Bundle Monster manicure

Just a quick post to announce the winner of the Bundle Monster giveaway I hosted last week...

Lena from Nerd's Girly Secrets!!

Lena has already replied to my email and the 2012 set has been sent her way (she already ordered the 2013 set), so I wish her all the best with her blog and I hope she enjoys both sets from Bundle Monster!! :)

And, because I can't leave you without any nail art I'm gonna include this quick manicure I put together the minute my set of plates came in the mail!!

I started with a base of Cult Nails Tulum on my thumb, index, and middle nails... China Glaze Liquid Leather on my ring finger, and Shimmer Irene on my pinky. I stamped using Konad special polish and BM-419 (One of the 3 designs that I submitted!!)

This design was put together pretty quickly because I'm in the middle of midterms this week, but I have a bit of free time coming up this weekend and I will be sure to put together a few special ones :)

Review: OMG Nail Strips

Halloween is fast approaching, and themed nail designs are popping up everywhere! Nail strips are an excellent way to get those perfect halloween themed nails without the tedious work yourself, and without paying a fortune to have a professional do it.

OMG real nail polish strips are the perfect solution to streaking nail art and expensive manicures...

I followed the application instructions on their website... and found them very easy to apply :)

They have some really cute halloween designs (like the "pink scream" ones above) and hundreds of others to choose from... like this "black crackle" design...

OMG Nail Strips also try to always have a promotion running, you can check our their promotion page for more information.
