So long November

I can't believe how time flies, November is coming to an end. It has been a very hectic month for me with school and activities and it being my birthday month and all :)

Here's a nail polish look that I wore during my birthday celebrations last week... thought I would share before the Christmas/Winter nail art begins.

This particular polish was gifted to me from a friend and happened to match my dress choice for the evening perfectly so I had to wear it! OPI Kiss me or Elf! is a gorgeous purple/fuschia shade from the new Holiday 2014 collection.

And the gold is OPI My Favourite Ornament from last years holiday collection. I created the look using striping tape it was quite easy.

Stay tuned for some holiday themed nail art coming soon. (I will be participating in a Winter/Christmas nail art challenge during various days in December).

And don't forget I am currently running a giveaway on my Instagram account for the new Bundle Monster CYO2014 set of stamping plates! :)

Vacation Nails for a Friend

A new friend of mine asked to have her nails and toes done before heading down south (a few weeks ago, only getting around to posting now)

She wanted something different than the typical "palm tree/beach" style and something exciting to match her personality :)

The red/orange is Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Kook-a-mango, Animal print created using OPI Alpine Snow & Black Onyx. And the disco-esque nail was created using Nicole by OPI Give me the 1st Dance and individually placed glequins.

I'll spare you guys the pedicure photos (I know how many of you prefer no pictures of feet). Basically the big toe was the leopard and all the rest were the redish shade.

Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1

Eek!! I'm so excited I am finally off to see Mockingjay part 1 tonight!! I decided that for the occasion I would re-create my original Hunger Games look from a couple of years ago!

Base is OPI Black Onyx
Mockingjay is a variety of gold's in my collection, created using a thin nail art brush
Flames are China Glaze Adventure Red-y and Electrify

Hope you guys enjoy this recreation :)

Who else saw the movie? Do you absolutely adore the series like I?

Monday Moody Blues brought to you by piCture pOlish

Today, on this terribly dreary monday, I have TWO beautiful piCture pOlish shades to share with you (so be sure to keep reading to see both polish swatches)

Moody Blues has been on my list for quite some time. This shade was part of the 2013 collaborations and was created by piCture pOlish and Polly Polish :)

It appears my photos don't show the subtle red glitter specks that are apparent in real life. (you'll just have to take my word on it) Two thin coats (this could be a one coater depending on application), no top coat.

The second shade I want to show you today is a collab shade with one of my favourite bloggers, Chit Chat Nails! :) (and Canadian too!)

This is Cyan, with Marta's signature live-laugh-love. Stunning cyan blue polish with subtle (yet stunning!) silver speckled glitter. Two flawless coats, no top coat.

I had secretly been wondering if piCture pOlish would do a collab shade with Marta.. she has such a keen eye for color and style I was itching to see what she would come up with! I was not disappointed, and also not surprised when the shade was finally released! I just knew the ladies at piCture pOlish couldn't do collab shades without including Marta at some point! :)

Hope you guys love these shades as much as I do!

piCture pOlish: Paris

I have been an exceptionally bad blogger lately! Sorry guys, truly. The month of October/November has been chaos for me at school among other not-so-nice things.

But I've got some great things coming soon, not to mention an awesome December Nail Challenge that I'll be preparing for over the next little while. I haven't gone anywhere  ;P

Today I have a stunning polish from the new collab piCture pOlish shades, Paris by Quiche Girl

And I just love the polish bottle decor! So cute! (this is a city on my must-go list)

Although this polish is a stunner all on its own, I wanted to try out my new OPI Snow Globetrotter over top and I just love the combo!

Hope you guys like this manicure as much as I did :)

Lest We Forget

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
We will remember them.
Act of Remembrance - an excerpt from "For the Fallen" by Laurence Binyon
