This manicure was my "Eureka!" moment with Reverse Stamping. :)
Featuring: OPI Get Cherried Away, Do You Take Lei Away?, My Dogsled is a Hybrid, Suzi Shops & Island Hops, and Hello Hawaii Ya? (anyone realized yet that these polishes were out on my desk for a few days, hence their reappearance in the last three manicures I've done LOL)
I created the stamped look using BM-616 (And filled in each "circle" of the mandala with different colors before stamping it onto my nail)
This design on the stamp was a full circle but I only stamped half of it. It reminded me of a Mandala of sorts... And for those of you unfamiliar with what a Mandala is: The term comes from Sanskrit meaning 'circle'. It is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. They take many many different forms, but each remind me of an abstract flower. They often exhibit radial balance.
I've hopped on the Reverse Stamping train and you're not getting me off of it! I'm in LOVE with this technique.
The beautiful maroon-purple shade from OPI is Get Cherried Away. I created the accent nails using the Reverse stamping method and stamp W212 from Winstonia. While the design was still on the stamper I coloured in between the "sections" of the easter egg with Get Cherried Away, Suzi Shops & Island Hops (pale pink), Hello Hawaii Ya? (purple), & My Dogsled is a Hybrid (green). Then transferred the design onto a white nail base (fully dried) using firm pressure.
I was pretty fond of this look :) I hope you guys like it too!
Amazing I actually found time to do a few Easter manicures this year :) And.. I'm looking forward to my long weekend coming up, I get both Friday and Monday off!
This manicure features OPI Hello Hawaii Ya? The accent nail features OPI My Vampire is Buff. I stamped BM-H10 image and then coloured in different parts of the stamp with OPI Get Cherried Away, Hello Hawaii Ya?, My Dogsled is a Hybrid, & Suzi Shops and Island Hops.
