More stamping from PUEEN

As some of you may know, I won the PUEEN Fireworks Festival stamping plate from a nail art contest hosted Chit Chat Nails... but along with that plate I also won a $100 coupon code to PUEEN... so I topped off my collection! :)

I now have enough stamping plates to last a lifetime!! And choosing a design to start with was near to impossible!! Not to mention I'm on another clinical placement in hospital so I can't wear nail polish 5/7 days a week... makes it difficult to try a new stamp each day, but I'm sure I'll get around to them eventually :)

This one features PUEEN-22 stamped over OPI Cement the Deal from the fifty shades of grey collection. Also featured is Embrace the Grey as a dark accent nail, and Shine for Me (gotta have a glitter accent too).

Once again you can get a shot of my rarely seen "Cinderella" hand (pictured above) - I mixed up my accent nails from one hand to the other (The classic skittlete, alternating accent nails, inspired by Marta herself!)

Hope you guys like this look :)

Stay tuned for more looks from PUEEN.

PUEEN Fireworks Festival Stamping Plate

I'm so excited to share with you my new stamping plate from PUEEN cosmetics!

I won this beauty in a nail art contest that was hosted by Chit Chat Nails and PUEEN :)

I've been super busy with my clinical placement this last week and a half so I only had the chance to try out one quick nail art design using the plate...

I did an alternating accent nail on my left/right hand, that is why this post features a few photos of my "cinderella" hand.

The grey you see is from the new OPI Fifty Shades of Grey Collection; Embrace the Grey and the rose shade is OPI Dulce De Leche

If you're interested you can pick up the 7" x 9.5" Fireworks Festival plate from PUEEN for only $18.99 :)

Peach: Sweeten Your Life in 5 Minutes (App Review)

Recently I had the luxury of testing out a new app on the market: Peach

This lovely little app for Android and iOS is a new fashion shopping app that brings you designer and luxury brands. It combines exciting 9-minute auctions with significant discounts.

While some of the items are far outside of my price range, there are many more affordable options. And recently I won my first auction!! Bare with me as I take you through my step by step (screenshot) process of bidding and winning!

There is only ever one item up for bid at a time. When you "like" an item it will notify you when that item is available for auction. Then you have a mere 9 minutes to bid. During the first 8 minutes it will tell you what rank you are from 4 onward, or it will tell you if you are ranked in "top 3". You can change your bid at any point during the 9 minutes. However, the Rank in the last minute is hidden.

As you can see this particular item, a small Coach wristlet, typically retails for $78
I placed a bid of $60 (seen in the top right corner) and then waited patiently for the time to run out and the winner to be announced...

Once the auction is finished, the "results" are posted and the winner is announced. In this case I won the auction!! And another awesome thing about Peach is that I only had to pay the second highest bidders price!! So I got this fabulous Coach wristlet for $24.00!

FYI Shipping is FREE within the US and $15 Internationally.

It shipped in record time and I can vouch that its quality is exactly as mentioned and it came with a small card from Coach to authenticate it. I'm so thrilled with this purchase!

I have since bid on a few other items, but sadly have not won any other auctions since. I continue to browse Peach and keep an eye out for any other fabulous items so I can bid on them. So far many of the items have included designer wallets, handbags, purses, backpacks and occasionally sunglasses, scarves, jewelry, watches, and makeup. So if any of those things catch your eye this app may be of interest to you!

At this point, this app is still "Invite Only" but you can try it out with my exclusive invite code:
With this code you will get $10 credit to Peach.

If you decide to try this out let me know how you like it and what your first "WIN" is!! :)

Mirror Mirror

...on the wall... who has the prettiest nails of all?

Hehe I couldn't help myself with the Snow White reference. I haven't stopped staring at my nails since polishing them with Cirque Mirror Mirror. Isn't it stunning?!

Two coats results in this gorgeous, reflective nail surface.

The accent nails feature OPI My Vampire is Buff as the base, stamped with Cult Nails Dazed (from the new "Secret Collection") and BM-618.

Winter Nail Art Challenge: New Years

The FINAL day of the Winter Nail Art Challenge: New Years Eve
(I know, I know it's New Years Day not Eve)

I just got back in Halifax yesterday morning and to my pleasant surprise I had some Cult Nails #NailMail waiting for me! The "Secret Collection" that included 3 secret polishes with only the names provided, Lime Light, Dazed, and Flash.

This BEAUTY is Lime Light. In my opinion the perfect New Years polish!!

The above photo was taken without flash in my light box, and the below photo was taken with flash.

Lime Light is a glitter bomb filled with gold, magenta, and blue glitter. I painted my nails with two coats of polish and a single coat of top coat :)

Well that's all for the WinterNAC folks! I hope you enjoyed the posts this month :) I look forward to blogging throughout 2015! We'll see whats in store... Happy NEW YEAR!
