Keep Calm & Polish On

This manicure is perfectly fitting to the situation... my first ever attempt at Reverse Stamping! (not the stamping decal method)

Let me just say, it was not all fun and games (for reference see my initial FAILED attempt on instagram) But I "kept calm and polished on" and eventually got a manicure I was semi-happy with. lol!

Polishes used are: OPI Do You Take Lei Away?, Suzi Shops & Island Hops, Hello Hawaii Ya?, Get Cherried Away, My Dogsled is a Hybrid. The stamps come from BM-619. My inspiration to FINALLY attempt the reverse stamping method was Marta from Chit Chat Nails when she had major success with it! And she shared a video tutorial by NailStamp4Fun on Youtube that was super helpful!

I just realized today, the final day of March, that I have officially only posted 5 manicures per month since January and that is just not acceptable. So I already have a few more lined up for the start of April and will do my best to increase my posting frequency :)

Copy Cat Floral Chevron

For those of you who follow Chit Chat Nails (and you should!) you may have seen this design just last week.

I loved the look so much I just HAD to recreate it. (And I have been lacking inspiration lately so this helped me out).

The peach color is by Etude (no particular name of polish). The chevron design was stamped using white polish from mundo de unas and BM-423. The flowers on Marta's design were a water decal from born pretty store. But since I didn't have any water decals that would work I decided to freehand the design (not sure which polishes I used exactly).

Hope you guys like this look as much as I did :)

Eternal Winter

Sorry for the lack of posting (it seems I have been severely neglecting my blog in 2015). I'll try to get back to a regular schedule.

I created this look last week during yet another snow day (65cm fell on the city of Halifax)... spring is nowhere in sight.

Featuring piCture pOlish Cyan & Fool's Gold. Stamped with various snowflake designs from Born Pretty Store stamping plate. Topped with a few gold star rhinestones.

Is it Spring yet?!

Taking advantage of this 30-40cm snow day to catch up on some blogging. And maybe a little wishful thinking...

OPI This Color's Making Waves as the base. Stamped with white mundo de unas polish and PUEEN-74

So. Much. Snow. While I am so very excited to be home from school today, I do wish winter would bugger off now, I've had enough.

Hope you guys are enjoying your day and not too many are hungover from St. Patty's Day Celebrations yesterday ;)
